Logistics Employee – Flower Auction
As a logistics employee at the flower auction in Aalsmeer, you ensure that flowers are distributed, packed, and shipped safely and on time. Your day starts early, around 5 or 6 AM, and you work until the job is done. You’ll be part of a close-knit and enthusiastic team in a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. Together, you ensure an efficient and accurate handling of all flower flows, so customers receive their fresh products on time.
Responsibilities
Loading and unloading trucks at the flower auction
Safely and carefully packing flowers according to guidelines
Efficient and logical distribution of shipments
Inspecting shipments for accuracy, damage, and quality
Reporting any discrepancies to the team leader
Keeping your workspace clean and following safety rules
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth logistics processes
Using internal transport systems such as carts or trolleys
Supporting light administrative tasks such as scanning labels (if needed)
What we are looking for
You are available for a minimum of 32 hours per week
You are comfortable with early shifts (starting at 5 or 6 AM)
You speak Dutch or English
You have logistics experience or are motivated to learn
You are physically fit and enjoy working with your hands
You are responsible and pay attention to quality
You work well in a team and have a cooperative attitude
You are accurate and efficient, even under time pressure
You have your own transport or live near Aalsmeer
